Ibis Alcala de Henares La Garena

Everything was very clean and the hotel had everything we needed to spend the night on the way to Barcelona. The rooms are simple but had what we needed and the three of us didn't feel we couldn't move around due to space. The staff was efficient and kind, which is always appreciated. The parking space was really convenient and the are multiple shops and supermarkets within walking distance made the stay even better.

I have stayed here before and it is one of the best Ibis Hotels that I have stayed in. Good range of snack meals and close to a number of Fast Food outlets. Comfortable rooms with big bathroom, not the modular type. Good size shower cubicle and a Bidet as a bonus. Ample secure parking, some of it sun shaded.

There were ample parking spaces when we arrived. The room was well appointed with a huge bed. It was very clean and there were excellent shower facilities. There was nice seating area with tables outside. We had a small dog with us and we were allowed to take our breakfast into the reception lobby and eat there. Reception staff very helpful indeed. The continental breakfast offered a good range of food. We will almost certainly return here when we next visit Spain.

We have chosen this hotel to avoid problems with parking, which is always problematic in Spanish cities. This is a chain hotel, so we knew what to expect. The hotel was perfectly ok for the expectation and the price. Free parking on the premises was an advantage and getting there was easy. However, if one also wants to see the city, just bear in mind that it is about 30 minutes walk to the historical downtown. There is also a bus available from nearby, but we did not use it, as this amount of walking was fine for us. Very close is an archaeological site of Roman Complutum for those very keen on Roman relics (although there are much better Roman sites elsewhere in Spain).
